People Often Aren't Destroyed By Obvious Evil

A lot of people imagine deception looking obvious ..like darkness, evil, witchcraft, people openly rejecting God, but biblically most deception does not look obviously evil at first. That's the dangerous part.

Second Corinthians  11:14 says, "and no wonder for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light." Meaning deception often looks good at first. Reasonable, comfortable, popular, emotionally validating, even spiritual. That's why the enemy's first strategy in the garden was not hate God. It was, "did God really say?" .. questioning truth, redefining truth, trusting feelings over God. Think about this, the pattern never changed. Some people are not being pulled away from God for obvious rebellion. Sometimes it's constant distraction, constant scrolling, constant noise, constant comfort, constant compromise, never sitting still long enough to HEAR conviction anymore. That's real, especially in today's modern technological world. The enemy does not need everybody worshipping evil openly. He just needs people too distracted to pray, too numb to examine themselves, too entertained to seek God deeply, and too influenced by culture to recognize truth clearly anymore. I was there until God revealed to me that I was distracted and drifting from Him. Realizing I had drifted down a side road, I turned and quickly changed course and got back on track!

That hits harder than people realize. Which reminds me of John 8:44 - Satan is the father of lies, and lies mixed with truth is usually the most dangerous kind of subtle deception. That's why people can slowly drift without even realizing that it's happening. Not every loud thing is the truth. Not every popular thing is healthy. Not every comforting thing is from God. And spiritually blind people usually think they see clearly. That's why discernment matters so much right now. Not fear. Not paranoia .. DISCERNMENT. Testing everything against the Word of God instead of emotions, culture, algorithms, or whatever sounds good in the moment. A lot of people are being discipled more by the Internet than by scripture. Examine yourself. Stay on track.

Until He Comes,

-Pat-
