Before Jesus returns, He gave 3 urgent warnings about being ready. Are you interested in knowing what they are? Many people believe they are ready for the big day when Jesus returns to rapture His true followers up to Himself. But Jesus said some who expect to enter His Kingdom will discover too late that they cannot. WHY?? Here are 3 warnings from scripture every believer needs to hear and cannot afford to ignore. Why? Because ---
1) Hearts that still LOOK BACK. When Jesus spoke about His return, He gave one surprising command: "Remember Lot's wife." She escaped Sodom with her family, yes, yet she looked back! Why? Because although her physical body left that city of perversion, her heart never did. Jesus explained the principal, "Where your treasure is, there will be your heart also" (Mattew 6:21). Many people follow Jesus outwardly, but their hearts still belong to this world .. their comfiort, their plans, teir possessions, their OLD life. When Jesus comes back, your heart will run toward what you treasure most. Do not wait until then! Surrender everything, everything that competes with Christ today.
2) Lamps without oil. Jesus told the story of 10 virgins (Christians) waiting for the bridegroom (Jesus). All of them looked ready. All carried lamps. ALL expected to enter only 5 had oil burnng bright (The HolySpirit). They had the "appearance" of faith but without a real relationship with God. They had the appearance --> many people attend church, pray, call themselves Christians, but they rarely see God, obey His Word, or walk closely to Him. And here's the frightening truth: oil cannot be borrowed. Nobody else's faith can save you ,, not your parents, not your pastor, not your spouse. Your relationship with Jesus MUST BE YOUR OWN. The scriptures says, "And the door was shut." Closed. Not a chance after that :(
3) Repentance that came too late. Hebrews 2:17 says, "Esau sought the blessings with tears, but he found no opportunity to reverse what he had chosen." Esau traded something eternal, his birthright, for temporary satisfaction, thinking he could make it right later. Many Christians (as well as unbelievers) do the same. They feel convition but keep saying, "I'll repent later," or, "I'll take God seriously someday." But "someday" is never promised. "Seek theLord while He still may be found, calluopn Him while He is still near" (Isaiah 55:6-7).
When Jesus returns, there will be no second opportunity. Regret cannot reopen a closed door. If you are reading this message, please do not ignore it. His return is evident now by everything happening all around us.
